Trujillo

Friday (10-05-2007)

We arrived in the city of Trujillo at about 10am on Friday morning. We were greeted by Pastor Hugo and by Pastor Alfonso. Pastor Hugo is my main contact person in Peru. Pastor Alfonso was to be my interpreter during our time in Peru this time. Pastor Alfonso was my interpreter two years earlier and it was a joy to be with him again. He is a Mexican that is a missionary in Peru in the city of Tarapoto.

We hopped in a taxi and headed to the apartment of Gladys Enlow which would be our place to stay for our time in Trujillo. Gladys and her husband came to Peru in 1957 as missionaries. She and her husband (now with the Lord) raised 8 children. We had a wonderful time with Gladys and she was part of our team for our time in Trujillo, El Hornito and Pacasmayo.

We got a couple hours of napping on Friday afternoon and then we had a team meeting that evening with most of the people who would be part of our ministry team. After a time of instruction and impartation we went to bed and both slept about 12 hours (we obviously needed it).

Saturday (10-06-2007)

On Saturday we were invited to attend a wedding of a couple in one of the churches we usually minister in. It was a beautiful wedding but Peruvian weddings last much longer than weddings in the states.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On Saturday evening we had a meeting in Peniel Church.

 

 

 

 

 

God led me to share on letting Him restore the visions and dreams that we have let go of. Almost the whole church responded to the alter time and it was very exciting to see God replace hopelessness with hope in many lives. In the midst of it JOY began to be released in the congregation and many laughed and laughed as God began to heal and restore them.

 

 

              

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sunday (10-07-2007)

On Sunday morning we (Gladys, Mikki and I, and a gentleman named Marco) went and visited a young man with a brain tumor. The doctors had given him about a month to live.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We have not heard the specific details regarding this young man but we have his email address and hope to be able to stay in contact with him.

Our Sunday evening was spent in a church that really has a focus on reaching the young people on a nearby university. The pastors two sons go to the university. They did an incredible gospel presentation through drama before our message. It involved and number of human videos and presentations of God's love.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After the great drama and musical presentation, I began to minister by giving and alter call and then going into the message. After the message God began to do many healing miracles among the people present. Miracle after miracle demonstrating the authority of God's kingom over satan's kingdom. There were many marvelous testimonies that were shared.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Monday (10-08-2007)

On Monday we had a special luncheon at the home of Pastor Hugo. It was a great time of reconnecting and fellowship.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After the great luncheon we went to Peniel Church for their daily prayer meeting (Monday through Friday from 4pm to 6pm). We started it a little earlier than usual and I preached for a few minute and then we bagan to pray for the sick.

 

 

 

 

 

Something very interesting happened in this meeting, apart from some of the creative miracles that we experienced. I felt like we were supposed to go around and lay hands on every person before I started to share with them. They were standing and the last person I prayed for was Pastor Alfonse (my interpreter). God impacted him pretty strongly and I asked him to sit down before he fell down. I thought everything was fine until I started to preach and Alfonso was silent. He couldn't talk. Fortunately, Gladys was nearby and began to interpret my message. Alfonso would laugh every once in a while but he couldn't talk. Then all of a sudden, after we started to pray for the sick he began to wink with his left eye. He just kept doing it and we didn't know what to make of it. He told me later that he was trying to tell us that he had a word of knowledge that God was going to heal someone with problems in their left eye. By the way, in that meeting God healed two people with left eye problems. The one I prayed for had some kind of cateract problem and God totally healed her vision in that eye.

 

 

 

 

Pacasmayo

Tuesday (10-09-2007)

On Tuesday the team hopped on a bus and we headed for Pacasmayo. It was an enjoyable 1 1/2 hour drive. When we arrived, we spent a little time by the beach walking around and seeing the sights.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

That night our meeting was in the city of El Hornito (The Hornet). Two churches came together for this service. It was a powerful time and God really met with us. Wednesday (10-10 -2007)

The next day the team had breakfast together before going to visit the ophanage and church in Pacasmayo.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The ophanage is run by Auden and Wendy Lujan. Wendy (formerly King) is from the Walla Walla area. Auden also pastors the church on the premises.
